15x8 prostars up front

Re: 15x8 prostars up front
The stock 8" wide wheels have about a 6-5/8" backspace. You want to see if they make a 6.5" backspace in the Welds. You will still need the spacer if you are running one (I needed a 5/16" spacer with my 15x3.5's). The slighly smaller backspace, plus the thickness of the spacer will move the wheels outward almost 1/2" compared to stock.
You might be able to live with a 5.5" backspace, but with the spacer, that's going to be outside the fender.

The 7" wide wheel with the 5.5" backspace will work OK. That will produce the same "front space" as the 8" wide wheel with a 6.5" backspace. With a 5/16" spacer, the outside edge of the wheel/tire will be about 1/2" further out toward the edge of the fender than the stock wheel. I have run wheels with 1" more front space than the stock wheel, and they worked fine... maybe a little rubbing on the inner plastic fender with the wheels at full lock.
I also checked the Pro-Star 3.5" wide wheels, and they also have the outer edge of the wheel/tire at the same location at the 7" wide/5.5" backspace wheel will have.

What's the tallest tire you think I could run up front? I want a little more ground clearance. I'm scraping the crossover pipe on bumps. I still have the stock SS springs, I think they are like 0.75" lower.

Do you have hubcentric spacers? I'm running some that I got from a friend with the pro star wheels, but they are not hubcentric. Trying to find some online if you know who has them, that info would be great.

I run 26" Moroso DS-2's in the front, but that's a 'skinny'. I think my front end is down slightly from stock (QA1 adjustables).
You could use a 245/60-15 at 26.6". Perfect for a 7" wide wheel. Adequate load rating (1,700+ #). BFG makes a Radial T/A all-season in that size. They also make a 255/60-15 at 27.1" diameter. Recommended wheel width is 7.0 - 8.0". Then, for a skinnier look, there's a 225/70-15 at 27.4" . Or a 215/70-15 at 26.9".
I got my spacers years ago from Skulte Designs. He made great adapters and spacers, custom dimensions if you wanted them. But he gave up the business about 5 years ago. I see people buying stuff on the 'net, but I have no idea of the quality.
