Is $100 a good deal for BFG DR's and wheels?

A friend of mine wants to sell me his BFG DR's and 16in stock T/A wheels. A set of two. He sold his car and no longer needs them. Sound like $100 is a good deal. He says he only ran about 1-2k on them. Is there any way to check the depth of the tread to approximate how man miles are left on them? Even though they come with little thread new...

I'd say that is a very good deal.........heck most people would sell the wheels alone for around 75-100. Just use em at the track and when they are worn out mount some et streets on em.

I am considering getting these for racing until I get my 17's, what do you guys think and also how deep should the tread be? I remember them being worn in the middle, and him saying the ideal situation is when you have the middle section worn down more than the rest. Is this true? I'll take pics tomorrow. They have a 6/32" new tread depth.
