You should just get the amount of the ticket outright and write a check for 5 bucks over the amount. Reason being, they cannot accept more than what is owed, they will try to send it back, but do not take it, and if they cash it then it will never go on your record, more importantly the ins. companies will never know. I have a buddy in C/S that did that. I don,t know all the reasons why they can't accept it....of yeah I forgot, you have to mail it in 'cause the cashier won't take it if she notices the wrong amount on the check. You must use acheck so that you can track it and know if it is cashed. I think the reason that this works is because they don't want to be sued for bribery or overcharging. My buddy that lives up there is a good honest guy so I don't think that he is lying, at anyrate it is still all heresay, but a suggestion as well...
