performance shops in sa

Hey all, i no longer have my broke *** t/a...traded it for a *ord stang. anyways, before all the bashing starts, let me say you guys are right,,, this thing is slow as ****! 260 hp my ***. anyways, i'll get to the point. traded the car and then it started acting up. so, got an extended warranty in a hurry instead of selling it. now the tranny doesn't shift right and pops out of 2nd here and there, plus makes a weird *** noise. and the motor knocks around 3k rpms. anyways, any peformance shops that can do good warranty repair work on this car (gotta be better than letting the dealer fdo it, plus i can make a few changes while it's in there)?? the cleaner, the more reputable the place the better...still gotta get the work approved, but shouldn't be a problem cause the car is completely stock!!...but, i have been thru a lot of crap with a couple of shops here already, so i thought i would see who you guys would suggest for the fords. thanks.

For Ford work your best bet is to ask over on stangnet.com in the southwest forum. They have a lot of SA stangers over there that could probably give you the best info on shops in town. The only shop I know of that does reputable work on stangs (non-warranty) is Team Extreme Racing off of Naco. Good luck with the car.

Hey ironlung, I'm with Bloodztone, I used to have a stang and used to hang out on stangnet. Just about all of the SA stangers pretty much go to Team Extreme. They do good work and are honest. Me personally haven't heard anything bad about them. Register on stangnet.com and go under the southwest forums and pm racerat. She'll tell you all about them and where are good places to go. She has an '03 Cobra and is really particular about who touches her car. Theres also a place on O'Connor called Lethal Performance that I heard work on stangs and camaros. The address is 10505 O'Connor Rd. Number is 656-5220. Hope this helps. Lethal Performance is a new shop that just opened up a couple of weeks ago, but alot of people from Texas Racing Scene speak good about their mechanic, Danny.

I used to have a stang myself. Based on my experience and tales from friends, Bracken Automotive is the best place to go. Talk to Chris. Alamo Perf. is just way too expensive, Hotrod store is okay if you get the right mechanic, Roy's may take your car home(happened to a friend of mine) and the dealers all want to rape you. No matter where you go, make sure you trust the person/people who will be dealing with your baby. Just my .02.

I always go to Alamo Classic Mustang...but... I have a Classic Mustang.

I've heard mixed reviews for the guys over at Poor Boys.
