PCM wont comm. with laptop & drama @ Vandergriff in Arlington

This is the wildest thing. We were working on the idle settings and while we were downloading some new settings(something that has been done many times before), the display screen flashed up "Serv engine soon". From this point forward the computer was LOCKED! Now with a new PCM installed, the laptop will not comm. with the PCM However, it will communicate with the tech 2 Please help me figure this one out. Oh yea, its a 99 C5

The New PCM saga @ Vandergriff, just FYI
Computer locks, now onto the tow truck and to the nearest dealership (Vandergriff in Arlington). They installed a new PCM & flashed a stock program to it, which is what the car was taken there for.
They also charged me $144 for a new AC Delco battery without my consent. IMO the battery did NOT need replaced and when i called them on it, the Service writer, BILL DOLLAR, had no explanation. He did however inform me that the battery could not now be taken off the car because they would not be able to sell it as new.
They also installed 30 EXTRA MILES onto my car. I think everyone @ Vandergriff must have got a ride. So i called MR.BILL DOLLAR on this too, he was once again without explanation. All he would say was that the tech "may have taken it around the block to check it out". Whatever

Get on the horn and call his supervisor. They can do whatever they want, but this clown probably doesn't have the authority to do anything and thinks he can pull this over you. Keep going up the ladder until you find someone who CAN do something.

I'd call him tomorrow and let him no exactly how pissed you are. After he tells you he can't do antyhing ask to speak to his manager. You gotta bust him up, verbally. When he tries to throw in a lame excuse cut him off and pound (verbally) some more.

I HATE hearing about this kind of crap . Service departments

Good luck,
Ryan

Actually, i spent a good part of the day on the phone with them Thurs. and i'm pretty sure that they will ALWAYS remember me. Oh, i think the Supervisor will probly remember me too. Still, nothing was accomplished even going over his head though.
