Need help from a Texas DPS officer, police officer, ect.

My sister’s car was broken into this after noon and I have a few questions.

They stole her IPOD and accessories to it and I assume the low life went to pawn it.

My Mom and sister plan to search some of the local pawn shops tomorrow since each IPOD has your name encrypted into it and she can prove its hers.

If she finds it what are her options and how should she go about getting it back?

She has a police report stating it was stolen.

ALSO!

There was an eye witness that saw the perpetrator break the window and drive away.

We know the car is a green Ford Taurus with a Texas license plate 250 HTK.

Could anyone look up this guy’s information and PM it to me?

I know a few months ago when I was trying to locate my old Camaro, with this similar info I was able to get not only an address to where the car is registered but a full name of who owns it.

I’d like to turn this info over to my uncle who is an attorney to see if anything can be done. Don’t worry I’m not going to go start anything with the guy, I’m a sane person, I don’t break the law.

Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I see you also have this in the Lounge.......

1. A Texas Peace Officer would be breaking the law to look the LP up and give up information....

2. If your Uncle is an attorney, he should be able to find out that info for you...

3. The stolen stuff if probably in Houston.... There were gangs from Hearne for awhile, but most are locked up....

Thanks for the offer, but my mom talked to an officer working on the report this morning and I had another friend off of here run that license # (stolen plates of course ) so we pretty much have all of our questions answered for now.

Thanks though, I love how helpful this board can be when I have an issue!
