Looking for a driveshaft.

Lmk what you have. Steel or aluminum?? I prefer aluminum.
P.s. new 12 bolt went in the car (m6) and the pinion angle is outon the rear end, causing the driveshaft to smack and rub the e. brake line bracket in the tunnel of the underbody. How do you lower the angle of the rear end, ( the pinion angle) Adj. lower control arms? Relocation brackets? The drive shaft is TRASHED! Mabey I can get some pics up soon.

Re: Looking for a driveshaft.

Why would anyone with a 12 bolt want an aluminum driveshaft?

Aluminum driveshafts are weak. I would never run one with a 6 speed and a 12 bolt if you ever plan on hooking up. I twisted one at only 300rwhp. The stock steel LT1 shaft is much stronger. IMO, the aluminum driveshaft swap is the dumbest mod ever

The best way to adjust the pinion angle is with an adjustable torque arm. You can get the tunnel mount or the tranny tailshaft mount. Tunnel mount transfers a lot more noise and vibration, and depending on style can kill ground clearance but is stronger, and most come with a ds loop option, a good idea with a 12 bolt. Its seems a little wierd to me that your pinion angle is that far off with a rear swap, Strange and Moser should work fine with the stock torque arm. Might be an installation issue you missed?

Personally, I'd spend the money on a new DS. Spohn or Dennys arent too pricey - you dont want to buy someone elses problem.

Ok, Ill let you **** your money away on stupid ****. I thought Id give you a little advice, since its obvious you need it, and you have to start talking ****. If you use an aluminum driveshaft, and if you dont know how to adjust your pinion angle, you are a dumbass, and should let others who know much more about this kind of stuff give you some advice. Good luck on getting 10's out of anything you drive

I do lose my temper when Im called an idiot. I simply asked why anyone would want to put an aluminum driveshaft in anything modified. Its crazy if you ever plan on hooking up, let alone running 10s.

I had my stocker balanced with new u joints, and had the slip yoke welded because it was leaking out the center, for under $110, and the shop said it should hold 500HP. An aluminum piece wont hold near that.
