how much does it cost for the bare legal minimum insurance on a beater here in texas (i'm in Houston) ? someone was telling me it is like $50 a month.

 

bare minimum on my formula is $40 a month. and i think my dad pays $25 or somethign on his chevelle

 

saweet! is there something i tell the people when i call them? do i just say "i want the bare minimum insurance?"

 

they will ask you if you want liability or comp-and-collision. Tell them you want the minimum liability coverage.

I live in a small town 150 miles east of Houston, I am 24 wife is 22, she drives a '94 celica, I'm in a '94 Cherokee. Driving records are clean for the past 3 yrs. We pay $65 per month for minimum liability on these two cars.

 

Depends on your driving record, age, sex, marital status, # of vehicles, blah blah blah....

If you're a married 27 yr old male with a clean record and 3 cars on your policy, and say you live in a Houston suburb, bare min. on say an '89 Civic could be in the $30 a mo. range, or less....

Insurance rates are so ****ed up; I firmly believe, they have a dedicated *** they just reach into for rates... "Well, Mr. Yuraboutagetf***ed, we can insure you for $3472 every six months...." "Oh, Mr. Wellf***uwhenumakeaclaim, how does $600 sound?"
