Angry i'm pissed!!

ok heres the story, ready?

monday at about 1pm, i was drivin in a parking lot, and some *** decided to back into me, he kept on backing up and tried to drive off, i guess he didnt realize that he had a ford excort, and i had a z28, lol, i easily caught up to him, he decided to pull over, i asked how he wanted to deal w this, and he offered to give me his name, #, and address, and my friend w me told me not to do that and just call the cops, so i called the cops, cops came, got all my info etc. and then went to get his, ...he had expired registration and inspection, and he said he had insurance, but not on him, ya right!, so he had none of that and he didnt even get a ticket for any of it!..so the cop left, and the guy gave me all of his contact info, i went to call him later that day, no answer, called him the next day, and i quickly found out its not even his #! so i waited for the the police report to come out, i got that today, and it has a diff # on it, i call it, and its "marriot rivercenter" wtf! lol, so now im hoping that his address is right so i can go pay him a little visit, first he drove off, gave me fake #'s and no insurance!! na hes paying for something! i have uninsuraed motorists insurance, w a $250 deductible.. if the insurance gives me $ is it to me, or the body shop thats gonna fix it? bc i can live w the damage, and just keep the $, id be happy , u guys think theres anyway ill be able to get this guy to pay my deductible?? im just hoping the address on his license isnt old or anything.. ...i would like him to pay for my car, but at the least i just feel like beating his A*S after being so shady

I don't know if this would work with all insurance company's, but one time when I got hit I just went to the body shop I wanted to do the repairs and got them to write up an estimate. I took it back to my insurance company and they cut me a check right on the spot. I remember I was ablr to take it to my bank and cash it myself. Hope everything works out for ya man. That really sucks!!

Sometimes if their is a lien on the car, the bank that holds the note has to endorse the insurance check too, since they have an interest in the car getting fixed.

That's what I was going to suggest.

Wouldn't giving false info on a police report be counted as a felony or something?

You might be better of the let the cops know about this first and let them handle it. If nothing happens, then pay him the visit.
