Help...Transmission Problems

My transmission has the 3-4 clutches burned up. Is there any reputable shops in the austin area to rebuild? or should I just buy a rebuilt trans from www.fbodytrans.com?

I appreciate your help in advance!

I had my transmission rebuilt 3 years ago at AAMCO on 912 S. Lamar. I have been very pleased with it and I haven't had any problems. They installed a GM master overhaul kit, Trango shift kit w/vacuum modulator and a 2400 stall lock-up converter for $1,715.

I was there just yesterday as the vacuum hose came off the shift modulator. It wasn't under warranty, but they fixed it for free. I think the guy's name that rebuilt my tranny is Jerry and Joe runs the shop. Tell them that the guy with the teal-green camaro sent you. Good luck and let me know if I can help.

Regards,
Chris

Thanks for the help guys. I talked to Ricky who works at aamco on burnet and he has built trans for many 9-12 sec cars ,seems to be very knowledgeable. He was rebuilding 2 460le's and let me watch part of the process. I am letting him build mine and will let everyone know how it works out.

THanks again!
