i have a 1998 silhouette minivan that needs the transmission looked at. the problem is it lost overdrive after a fluid/filter change and the ses light came on. all other gears work flawlessly. a GM dealer is not an option, i will never go back to those crooks unless my vehicle is still under warranty .

 

is cottmans ok? there is one about 30 mins away and i might stop in tomorrow.

hey thanks for the reply, i appreciate it. oddest thing though, the SES light went away and overdrive came back. the code i was getting was for a stuck solenoid. i drove the van for a couple of days and i guess the solenoid "unstuck" itself .
