Post does and donts of the 306cam?

Just wondering if you guys could help me here and tell of anythings i may need that have been overlooked.
i plan to use a 306cam, new springs, hardened pushrods, port heads using stock valves, programming and install long tubes.

i dont have the $$ right now, but later plan to go with 52mmTB, ignition box, and better fuel supply

MY QUESTION IS, WHAT SPRING DO I NEED? I WANT TO USE MY STOCK VALVES FOR $$ REASONS

If using the 1.6 RR and that cam I would suggest the comp 987 springs, as your lift would be a total of .544/.576, more than the comp 986 was designed to really handle over long periods of time.

whitehooptie:so what was the problem you had with yours and what was the culprit? misaligned rocker, too much press, not enough press, etc....?

aggie:i plan to go with 1.6selfaligning, and stock lifters!? What ya think?
