Exclamation

When I was 16, I got caught riding my dirt bike where I wasn't supposed to. A chase ensued with the property owners, causing them to wreck one of their work trucks ... quite severly, I might add.

I got a away, but really didn't get the big picture. You see, I was the ONLY one in this tiny community with a big *** dirt bike that sounded like the wrath of God. Gotta love those old 360 Yamahas with a Bassani expansion chamber and no baffle ...

Needless to say, the local Sherrif paid a visit to my house.

Long story short, after the Sherrif's visit with my parents, my Dad looked at me and said ... "Boy, if yer gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough."

That, and the ensuing payment of damages to the property owners, left a lasting impression on me. I suspect you too will have a similar impression ...

Doesn't help your current situation, but suffice it to know that I feel your pain ...

Here is what you can do. You can stop driving since you won't have any insurance and then you won't have to worry about tickets anymore either. Seriously though, there isn't much you can do now except suck it up. Even if someone will insure you now, you will have to get a second job to afford the coverage.

Call all of the lawyers in the phone book and ask about an appeal bond. Should run between $150-$300. It is like it never happened. But it is your own dumbass fault. It is not *that* hard to back off a little

It's actually easier than you may think. You can do this yourself, or you can hire an attorney...I would (and may have in the past)use an attorney. It should run you $100-$200 depending on the severity of your case i.e. multiple infractions. Your attorney should motion for a continuance on your most recent ticket. Then, hopefully, your court date will be reset until after your current deferral period is up. At that point you either take DD or do another deffered adjudacation.
Don't be afraid to go through the yellow pages to ask for quotes from various traffic ticket attorneys. Be sure to try to ask for all fees involved after you explain your situation. They shouldn't be annoyed by your call...it's how they make their living!
It takes a little leg work, but it will save your **** in the long run!! Especially if your insurance is about to drop you!

HAHA, but seriously, get a lawyer. I got one on my last ticket, and he delayed it so long that they lost the ticket. It will be worth the money to keep your insurance.

If I recall correectly, Plano requires that you have not been on Defferred Adjudication for at least 12 months prior. Maybe wrong but I remember them asking me that as a requirement a few weeks back. 1st ticket in 7 years of course it was Plano for 7mph over.
