Golfers... Inside!
I'm holding a charity golf outing on Thursday, September 26th at noon -- scrambles format, shotgun start. It should be a great time... I know how to put on a top notch outing! It will be held at Greystone Golf Club in Romeo, MI. If you've never played there, I highly recommend it. It was one of Golf Digest's 2001/2 "Best Places to Play."
The proceeds (after expenses) will go to the Autistic Children's Treatment Network (ACT), the Early Intervention Center (a school for autistic children) and a scholarship fund at the center for one of my sons, who attends there.
The outing will cost $120 per golfer and includes golf w/cart, valet bag drop service, unlimited use of the driving range, lunch (hot dog, chips, pop) - which you can have before golf, or at the turn, a full buffet banquet with 2 hour open bar, 5 raffle ticket (w/lots of prizes), and included entry in the closest-to-the-pin contest for all 4 par 3s. You can also get into the skins and scrambles ($10 each per golfer), and longest drive contests. Plus, additional raffle tickets will be for sale. All fees are fully tax deductible (501(c)3 non-profit charity).
If you are interested, please email asap... it is easiest if you put together your own foursome, but if you have less than four, I'll try to pair you up with others. If you email, I'll send you the flyer, and any additional info you want, about the outing, or the charity.
Thanks,
Mark (mark.allen@eds.com)

Chris - thanks. I didn't know you had an autistic son either -- so you can relate to what it is like! Hey - if you know of any golfers, let them know my email address.
Thanks,
Mark
