AI/CMC round 5 @ Texas World Speedway 8-4/5-07

this weekend NASA TX once again will be in Bryan/College Station at Texas World Speedway hosting round 5 of the AI/CMC Championship Series.
this event will be a salute to our Military personel and there will be quite a few there to represent each of our branch's of service. come on out and show how much you support their efforts. i've been told there will be a sky diving team making a showing on Sat around 11-12 noon.
come on out and see the various class's including the Camaro Mustang Challenge cars battle it out. this event will also have a real live announcer giving real time updates and play by play's durring the race's.
and we race rain or shine. some of the most exciting races are the rain races.
and you get to see me!

if you see me, dont hesitate to stop and say hi.

I assume they fixed the banked oval part of the track? The last time I was there, some years ago, you couldn't do more than 80 or 90mph on it.

these events will be on the 2.9 configuration. we only use the front straight. this aint NASCRAP, we turn both ways and use all 3 pedals while doing it.

The three mile course uses the west banking and front straight.
If you didn't know the answer you could have just said so. No need to try and mask your ignorance by being a smart ***.

i've run the track since 2001. i have never seen a configuration used that included any part of the oval other than the front straight. there is infact multiple configurations that use lots of the oval if not all, but i have never seen any group run it.
so some years ago (your words) could have been much longer than i've known of the track.

so to answer your question, no they didnt fix it, but you assumed they did cause you assumed we were running on that part of the track.
no ignorance being masked on my part.

Yeah GlennZ28M6 ... you should have known the specific configuration Z28SORR was thinking about. At the very least you had a 1 in 9 chance of getting it right.
