fryedclutch, my z is black. one of the billion... but all my **** it black and it always will be. when you were a senior, i would have been driving a black iroc with gold iroc stickers and gold wheels. not the coolest car ever, but it was in about the best shape i've ever seen one in, and out, with 75,000 miles on it. however that is gone now and i have a 94 Z. basically like yours but with half the miles and a mcleod clutch. i picked up some 10 spoke SS wheels this winter as a quick fix for the salad shooters. I'm sure you'll see me around, and vise versa.

and i cant for get about my guy Mike he also has a black 99 ta he has slp lid slp loudmouth cat back and is sittin on so pretty shoes he has 18 Y2k c5 wheels chrome with eagle f1 tires he works as one of the head mangers right down at BRUNOS PIZZA in river park not even two blocks from IUSB . so stop in there if you ever see his Black Ta in there he always want to check out your F-bod he loves them
Kyle
his name is Justin, not Jason, and he doesnt have the 5ltretr plate anymore. also he has one nitrous tank mounted in the car, not two which would be pointless anyways except for ricers and pro mods. he made 550rwhp on a 100 shot last year. went 11.0 @ 118 last year with the tranny slipping through 3rd. since then he has gotten a much needed new PCM tuning, a new tranny, and is spraying 150. also he has nowhere near $10k in mods on that car

i do know Mike, and also his friend Chris that works at Bruno's as well when hes not down at Ball State. i did a heads/cam/rearend/converter etc swap on Chris' 97 30th anniversary camaro last summer

last year (my senior year) i went through like 8000000 cars well not really
i had my first car
89 bronco 2 (prolly what every one knew me at that school by) red and white always left the school screeching the tires lol
then i had a white 95 v6 (got at a dealer ended up being salvaged and had to get rid of it
so i bought a 94 v6 black but smashed it in april last year
and then till the end of the school year i had a 89 tpi firebird with cracked paint on the front bumper and the lights were usually up
but now i have my teal Z
so if ya seen a BIGG guy in any of those rides that was prolly me

Re: South Bend, Indiana

Chris' car will run quite a bit better than it has been with just some minor changes. hes just got the problem of being a majorly broke college student right now. the rear i put in his car is just a stock 3.42 rear from a 6 speed car. his had 2.73's before so it was a nice change. actually i think he ended up having to do a lot of the rearend swap himself since i was busy working on another 30th anniv at the same time that i had to try to finish up that night after rebuilding the 383 in it and putting it all back together. he does have Hooker LT's, which go into an x-pipe and then through dynomax bullets before dumping in front of the rear. its a exhaust that my buddy Derek made and used to have on his TA vert.

Justin does pretty much all of his work himself. i think the only thing ive done on his car is set up the gears when he swapped to 3.73's. actually saw him driving it today near IUSB. i was delivering to all the places around there today

chevyguy is pretty much known around here to always have his head under his own, or somebody elses f-body, and I'm sure can speak for himself, but the guy has a basement half full of parts and it would pretty much be anybody's favorite playhouse. a lot of people either praise his cars, or talk smack about him so I'm sure you'll hear about him one way or another.

Re: South Bend, Indiana

just a LT4 Hotcam, and some ported LT1 heads with 2.02/1.60 valves that i used to have on my black car. i ported his intake to match the heads myself. went with that combo of parts since he was on a tight budget. it runs pretty good for a hotcam car though

fryed clutch, chris (97 30th) has a hotcam and some ported lt1 heads. i wouldn't post his combo, but he doesn't seem shy about telling us when at the strip or on 20 in the summer.

Re: South Bend, Indiana

it sounds like more than a hotcam because of those bullets off the long tubes. it's pretty damn loud. the idle was pretty erratic last i heard it too. sounded like it need to have the bugs worked out of it

Re: South Bend, Indiana

his idle would be fine if he would bring it by so i can open the throttle body blades more and slot the TPS sensor and rotate it back to ~.5v. been telling him that for a while

his car also probably sounds a little more radical than most hotcam combos since i raised his compression some. most hotcams around here are in cars with stock heads and compression. the larger valves in his heads magnifies the overlap a tad, and by using a .026" gasket and the fact that the heads had been decked a little brought the compression up
