I remember Derek's car...It's funny, because I was with Greg that particular day running around when we went over to Goshen to see that guy, (I can't remember his name...it was the guy who owned the mechanics shop in Goshen who used to work for a dealer. He used to have a nice 3rd gen Camaro that was yellow.) Anyway, I was with Greg that day and Derek had his car on the lift doing some tranny work. That night at the track, he broke it. I felt bad for him, because that car was pretty stout.

I don't suppose any of you guys have a differential for our f-bodies laying around that you want to get rid of do you? I'm looking for one with a 3:42 gear. Does that guy in Niles still work with salvaging f-bodies? I know he had a couple laying around at one point, but I can't remember where he lives and I don't have his contact information.

btw what color is your car? i cant think of who you are? unless maybe you have a white car, and you drive around a lot with the guy who has the procharged LS1 transam with nice wheels and the checkered graphics on the hood?

Yeah, early on Derek said he thought it was the tranny. But that was before it he had a chance to look at it as far as I know. After that, I don't think I've ever seen that car again or heard any more about it. I used to talk to Greg quite a bit and I'd hear stuff here and there...but since he left...not much going on.

Nah...I don't know who are referring to about the other cars. Mine is red, black top, and stock '97 wheels. At one point, I think Jon and I were going back and forth about trading rears. He had 3:42's at the time, and he wanted the 3:73's that I had. My car looked a lot like Jon's...'cept it wasn't blown. I ended up buying Autotap from him around that time too. 3 or 4 years ago.
