not much going on. if it doesnt rain i think ill head up to Autozone tonight. definitly going to head out there tomarrow night. still no exhaust and i still cant figure out why my turn signals dont work, but i dont care. my brother has connections now and can get me out of tickets

no mayhem in morocco for me . im thinking i MIGHT try OC sunday though and hope not many people are there so i can play with the car a little and see where im at. still needs TONS of tuning and i need to fix my misfire. aired the slicks down to 16psi today and with no burnout and the front shocks as stiff as they go it still didnt want to do much of a burnout on the transbrake, so im confident it will hook hard at a prepped track wtih the shocks loosened up, the tires down ~12lbs and a nice burnout. i can still adjust the torque arm one position more aggressive than what its at right now.

i just logged the PCM while doing a burnout, and pulled 398 g/sec through the MAF. the most i ever pulled last year was 315 g/sec, so the motor is definitly already making more power than last year's. 10s NA will be a cake walk

ya know tony, it would be alot easier to buy one than build one . ill probably stop by with the car sometime this weekend if its nice out and the car stays in one peice.

mustang is still in somewhere ~300 peices. hopefully will work on that a little this weekend

sorry i made it so long, just wanted to fill everybody in on whats going on with the car since nobody has seen it in a year.

i still cant find Jon via phone, email or stopping by his house. he dead?

Sounds like your car is making some good horsepower. (sweet)
Did you happen to go to OC this weekend or go up town? I had to DJ a wedding this past Saturday and was going to head up town afterwards but i figured no one would be out. I just ended up going home. I worked on my 69 Camaro yesterday, and also tore down my future 396 block. I would by yours Darren but it's kinda out of my league at the moment. If you want swing by with the car tonight or mayble i'll swing bye. If you do swing by give me a call on my cell phone first. I also want to talk to you about this motor i'm going to build. By the way did you change opti's yet, and if so did it cure your problem? Also as far as John goes i haven't seen or heard from him. Where's he hiding at. Maybe he's back with his ex-girlfriend
Anyway talk to you later. I definetely want a ride.

went to mckinley both nights, nobody there at all either night. pulled 424 gm/sec through the MAF later that night, but obviously the air isnt all being turned into power. ive got a granatelli MAF and no air filter on the car and my MAP readings are pretty low over 6000, so it looks like its time to blow a ton of $ on a monoblade .

went to OC, car was dead hooking on the transbrake, woiuldnt spin an inch. wasnt really powering out of the hole though. just did a 1.57 as my best 60'. the misfire is definitly killing me. tuning is way out in BFE too. MPHs wandered up and down from 110-117 with no changes. best was an 11.48 @ 114. got the front of the motor apart right now to do the opti but havent had any luck getting the ATI hub off yet.

mustang still in 300+ peices. going to try to sell it as soon as i get it back together

well, sledge was a bit of an exaggeration. i asked the guy who built the shortblock if i should hone the hub out before i put it on and he said he never does, just presses it on like that.... guess hes never had to take one back off? or hes got much better tools than me

Hey Darren it's good to see you have the car out and about and even better yet running it at the track. Sounds like the opti is screwing you up though. But still for the first time to the track and with issues your car is running pretty good. I'm sure once you get the bugs worked out it well definetely fly.
I see you guys found John, where has he been hiding at? He's not getting a Vette now?
Also what's going on Kirk? The 69 is coming along, not as fast as i would like it, but i'm working on it though.
Both the cars will be running next year
Did you find a car yet or still looking?

Heh, Nothing going on here, just studying my LT1 knowledge .....I think i'll ge serious around Feb, March cause F-body's are usually cheaper that time of year.....Don't worry, I'll probably be there with it for a baseline on the first T&T of the year!

Take care,

Mike Lapp was running very good today. he went 10.44@128 before i left.

i hit 10s on motor first pass out. before i got much tuning done it spit out a wheel/tire/axle/braking assembly though and did quite a bit of damage

greg was there with the Celica . he could have had a 12.1 today

Pics man! Pics!! Man it's good to hear about that motor finally puttin down numbers that you SHOULD be happy with. lol Sucks to hear about the cosmetics though. That's awfully weird, last week a 69 Chevelle did the same, no body damage though.

Well, I look foward to seeing all of you out there next year along with my f-body

Happy Thrashing,
-Kirk

Cass MI here. Not IN but just north of Granger. MI members in this area are 'slim-pikins'

My car is pretty plain looking. Red 94 with stock wheels. Does have a Borla and a few stickers. A TireRack sticker on the wind sheild and a Hoosier racing tire on back and a couple SCCA stickers on the side. Its not to be ricey though. They are series sponser stickers for the Solo 2 that I do.

My car may not be that fast in a strait line but the suspension mods/tuning with 315 R compounds at all 4 corners make for a heck of a ride.

I will have to meet up with some of you guys next year. I'll even try to talk you guys into going to a few autocrosses.
