wuts up...i just got a new 2000 camaro with a 5 spd, and i need to start modding it up cuz its only a v6. i'd like to get it to 220 horse atleast. so i'm goin with an intake and exhaust first of course. i need to know wut brand and everything to get...so hook me up with some advice please on wut intake-exhaust systems work the best together and which ones put out the most horsepower.... thanx

 

220 at the flywheel or at the wheels? I have a SLP CAI and I like it, I don't really know which brand is the best. As for exhaust, that depends on what your taste is, and how much money you have. You can throw on a flowmaster 80 series pretty cheaply. SS Loudmouth is really loud and not for everyone. I believe most people recommend Borla or B & B catback. Once you get exhaust and a CAI, get a thermo and a Jet Chip. Atleast thats the route im taking.

 

I'd go with a catback rather than just a muffler. As for which brand...that's a little contraversial. Depending on how much money you have to spend, whether you want loud or mellow and deep. Whether you plan on doing headers and cai (which affect tone of exhaust systems) Any catback with at least 2 1/2 inch piping or more should give some hp gains.

Mainly do a search for: B&B triflow, Borla, FLowmaster, Ravin, Dynomax, Edelbrock, Loudmouth, Spintech, just to name a few.

Intake: A whisper lid for around $150 or so , don't remember exactly (or the free mod). Thunderracing.com, there's a few others that sell them.

And if someone says torque converter than just tell "read my orginal post again." cause someone will probably mention it, lol.
