I posted this over at www.firebirdv6.com, and thought maybe you guys would like this:

Myself and W68Firebird97 performed this today on his 97 3.8 Firebird using my hood and airbox, since my car has been out of commision for a few weeks. Will have track results and gains within the end of the week. Any questions, feel free to drop me a line.

Yes both cars were EXTREMELY dirty, but you get the point. And yes green on black looks kind of poopoo too, but ya know how it is.

We used a 4" dryer hose to connect the outlet on the airbox to the throttle body, similar to the whisper lid style on 98+ angle-bodied 3.8s. One issue we ran into was that the IAT sensor wires were not long enough to reach the OEM IAT sensor position on the airbox, so a little cutting and splicing was necessary.

All in all it looks (after a quick wash... )and performs very well.
