Is it worth it?
Would it be worth the time and money to convert my 94 V6 into a V8? What is a good guess on how much it would be just to re-do the chassis and suspension. I have an LT-1 and T56 already.
Is it worth it? Well..., it totally depends what you are looking for. If you have the time and money to spare, sure, why not.
However, why not sell your V6 car and buy a Z28/Formula/TA???
That's what I'd do...
I don't think you need to do any suspension or chassis modifications to change the engine... Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Many people here have done the conversion, so you might want to try to do a search about the topic. This question pops up every so often.
Good luck!

$ wise? No, it would be much cheaper to just sell it and buy a V8. However, (and I have seen this question a hundred times in the past few years) if you want to take that project on - I say GO FOR IT !
My philosophy on hotrodding, is to follow your heart and do what you want. I am not going to lie to you, the swap is no easy (or cheap) task, but it is doable. There are a few sites out there dedicated to that very project.
So the answer is that there is no real answer to your question. I'm not sure if that helps any.
Good luck and happy modding

if u got all the wireing harnesses, go for it but with out them it will be much much harder and they are not cheep. u will also save on insurence. the suspension and stuff im not sure if u have to change it but u probable want to at least get new springs for the front so it will sit right. my uncle and cousin did this to an 80's v6 maro and they just changed the front springs.

Actually I parted out the old bird last year after I smashed it into a guardrail. [temp fell bigtime that night and it started snowing which left me and my drag radials SOL]
(log sob story) Anyhow, Tiago has most of my old engine, he's got it juiced and I beleive he's almost done turboing it. I sold most of the rest of the parts to other board members. never did reach 13.99
Oh well I've since been laid off a few times but I got a new (stable) job and picked up a new toy this week. A 92 305 Bird
I already have big plans for it. ------------------
