Post Windows squeek when I roll them down.

It sucks! Imagine rollin up on some chicks and rolling down your window and "SQUEAK!!". Embarassing and annoying. Why does this happen? I'm guessing it's because of the seals that stop water and such from rolling down into the window wells? They look like they don't work anymore. And when I try and clean them they're so dirty that no matter how many towels I use it's still dirty from 12 years. Any ideas guys and gals?

Dang man, that's 12 year old weather-stripping. No wonder it's making that squeak. If cleaning it won't stop it, then just buy some new weather-stripping from AutoZone or something.

just replace the trim man..it's not very expensive.. you also may wanna grease all the gearing in the door.. but first used wd4 to break up all the caked on crapp .. also check if the rod for the door locks isnt resting against the glass.
check and see if the window alignment padts aren't warn out either.. they are just below the windo trim.

Well I don't mind replacing them but they don't exactly look like they're parts to pop in and out. I hope you guys know exactly what part I'm talking about. I don't know the exact names for them. It's usually the rears that squeek.

I know they're not exactly functioning correctly because let's say you have fog on your window. and you put your window down to eliminate it right? Well when I put my down and roll it back up I have patches in the window meaning their was no contact being made. Does this make sense?
