Next time I go racing there is going to be a guy lining me up and instead of a tree and timing lights, he will simply lift his arm up and the other guy at the end of the track will start counting into a loud speaker as soon as he sees the starting line guy's arm go up....one one thousand, two one thousand, three thousand....

Get a G-tech or equiv or go get a timeslip which you can figure out the times.

Hehe, mine ran a 0-60 of 8.2 on a G-tech.I ran both directions on the same street and 8.2 was the average. This was after my old 3.4 was modified and showed 15.6 on the G-tech.Sorry,the only time-slip I had from a real track was before I went overseas and lived on a tiny island (Azores,Portugal).I ran a 14.3 on the juice with only a home-made cold air and a muffler as bolt-ons.So,no I don't think 3.4's are slow

just cause you cant count past 3 doesnt mean you have to be jealous and vindictive.

i dont need super-scientific measurements to make sure that my car runs 0-60 in 8 seconds. if you do, well..whatever. kudos to you i guess...

whatever. my car runs 0-60 in 8 seconds. i have a 1994 3.4L V6 Camaro with a 5-speed transmission.

o yea, and if you dont like my reply...well..life sucks, get a helmet.

it is tuned, Im installing a 255lph high pressure intank fuel pump on it in the next few weeks, dynoing on nov 9th.

I'll hit the track whenever the weather around here gets good and I have time...

Just so you don't get any crazy ideas with that 3.4l look at my website so you can see what not to do with a 3.4l engine. However Tiago did the same but built his motor afterwards I myself have given up with v6's.

Re: Who says 3.4s are slow?

I thought the purpose of the high octane fuels was to RESIST KNOCKING, shouldnt 87 be quicker burning?

Re: Who says 3.4s are slow?

try not ot resurrect threads without a good reason. but yes, 87 octane will generally burn a bit faster than 93. thats why you should use the recommended octane for your engine, not the highest.
