Talking Who says 3.4s are slow?

After months of waiting and saving I just bought a 93 Firebird A4 w/89,350 miles. Got new plus and wires, changed the oil, and put 93 octane in it and let me tell you, this thing will fly! 0-45(1-2 shift) in less than 3 seconds with tires burning! Going to get Flowmaster 80, K&N FIPK, Superchip, and TransGo kit. Anyother mods I should do with a limited amount of cash?

Trust me... after a while, it won't seem fast at all.

Then, you'll do something damn stupid, like putting a full Edelbrock catback system with a Catco high flow cat on it.

And it'll seem damn fast again.

....and once your done with that, you will put a Moroso Cold Air Induction kit on, and it will seem even faster!

Then after the Z a Vette then after that a viper.

It never ends.No matter what we have we always want more.Or someone tells us what we sould have got. As long as you love it, it does not matter what you have. ENJOY!!

well i thought my car was fast when i bought it, but now im going back to school so i can get more money with a different career, then im going to buy a Z. then after that im going to work on a new engine, something faster, then probably keep working on that for a while until i blow it up, then im going to buy something faster, then blow it up, then... im hit with the bug. originally i bought the car for the looks

It's nice. When I drive, it sounds like Satan's coming after me.

Anyhow BradC, if you need any help with modding your 3.4L, suggestions or anything, let me know. I've got quite a bit more than just a catback.

if you want to be quick, just put nitrous on it, since forced induction is alot of work.

the work is worth it though

0-45 in less than 3 seconds, you wish. That is a 5 second 0-60 MPH. Plus, your tires are burning, so with traction, 4 second 0-60 MPH times?

Who says 3.4's are slow?......Me! j/k! But seriously bro, I won't bash on ya for buying a V6. You saved your money, you bought the car, you deserve some credit. Oh, about the 93 octane, it's not gonna help ya man. Every engine has different settings for compression and if you mess with the octane you can actually hurt the cars performance. Don't believe me? I ran 93 octane for 8 months in my old 97 V6. I ended up fouling out three plugs and messin up an oxygen sensor. Stick with 87, trust me.
