You would be surprised that the correct octane is actually going to make more power than to high of an octane. I ran 93 in my fiance's 99 V6 Mustang and when I just tried on a whim 87 octane, the car had more pickup and ran a faster MPH with snow tires vs radials.

maybe so but we all now it slows down after 45, so realisitcly 60 takes a few more secs than just 2 more. Everyone with a 3.4 will tell you that. 3.4s rock on the start.

I am not saying 3.4's do not have low end power. I have no ideal, have never been in one.

I hit 0-60 in about 3.2 seconds and run the time in the sig. 0-45 MPH under 3 seconds is not far off of my time.

Does it leave like this?

A V6 F-body is like a gateway drug. Its what gets you hooked then you get more and more hardcore until it kills you. Have fun but be careful.

I am not picking on anyone, I am not one to pick on someone because of the car he/she drives. I wish more people would have bought V6 F-bods, probably would have kept it around for a few more years.

The nice thing about having a strong V6 is when you lay smack, it hurts even more. Take my fiance's 99 V6 Mustang. I have smoked more cars in that than in my Z28, even though my Z28 looks bone stock.

When I first got into the racing scene, I was one of the guys running 16's in a old 1971 Toronado GT. I remember that the guys with the faster cars were simply put, for the most part, *****s, thought they were better, blah, blah. That is why you can be running 17's and still know that CANTONRACER, also known as the guy with the fast red Z28 at the dragstrip, you can talk to and he will even try to help you and bs with you. At the track, most guys bs with me, Mustang, Dodge, LT1, V6, the only guys who seem not to talk to me, the LS1 guys. Go figure.

Ya know, I've noticed the same thing......Like the LT1 is some burden to them. But man was it funny when a green 94 LT1 beat every single LS1 there runnin 10s in the 1/4!

better hold off on some of those mods casue a red car is bound to make you friends with troopers fast....almost as fast as that 3.4 .........a red car will attract attention no matter what, thats why it sucks tohave them unless your in law enforcement.
