V6 Exhaust
Does anyone know a good deep exhaust system for 3.8V6 camaros? I was looking for something with a good deep sound and im not real worried about performance. Thanks

flowmaster 80 series...sounds awsome on the 3.4 and ok on the 3.8...

Over at camarov6 they got info on the new Texas Speed and Performance Rumbler cat back Exhaust system. And its cheap!

With the Pacesetter headers, what is the "Best" sounding exhaust for the V6...is it Flowmaster, Dynomax, Borla...who?
And are the Pacesetter header any good. I really want to add a catback and headers to my six but don't want it to sound like arse. Simply...What is the best combo of headers+exhaust for the V6 that will give you the best sound? |
i would choose the flow 80 series...but the bolra, i have personaly never heard, but for what they cost they might offer alot more perfomance. (that is on a 3.4, 3.8 sound diff)

Has anyone heard borla exhaust on a V6 or does anyone know where to find a good sound clip of it.
Or has anyone heard the new Super 40 muffler from Flowmaster? |

Most everbody who has installed the pacesetters has liked them. Exhuast is just peronal preference, so everybody will say something different. So I would suggest searching the net for sound clips and deciding yourself. $550 seems like a lot for a cat back, so I personaly wouldnt go with Borla. just my $.02 |
Just got my '97 RS
I just got my '97 RS and I was thinking that going with a SLP Cold Air Induction Kit and an American Thunder Exaust system from FlowMaster. I figure a cold air intake + a new exaust system would get me the best gain for the money...I was wondering what kind of preformance gains I would get if Neone has done this or knows and is this the best way to spend my $600??? And do you think it'll matter if I put in headers or will the exaust manifolds do fine...headers are a lota money for the gains aye?
THANKS! |
Every place I find Pace setter headers for v6 f-bod They say they are for 95-99 model years, everyplace has said this except for one guy on ebay, this sounds rediculos, will these 95-99 work on my 2000, is it one of these cases where pacesetter introduced the product in 1999 and everyone is still saying they will fit the 99 models? What's up?
here's a set I'm looking at http://store.ineedparts.com/store/co...dProduct=14000 |
I must be lucky  . I have a '97 M5 3.8l (I think that's how you say that.), and I'm having a hard time finding any CAI's for it. I've found one. Is this my only option? And if it is, is it any good?

the company SLP makes the best one that i've seen. There are some other really expensive ones but I think the SLP is the best 1 for the money.

Wow, those are a small fraction of the price of the SLP intakes. So, I can just take these K&N filters and stick them in my current air box?
