im gonna do some internal/external modding to my 3.4 and i need to kno what clutch u guys reccomend. I was looking on ammperformance.com and the stage 1 will hold 400 hp i kno i wont have that much so u guys think it'll work fine? if not what clutch u guys reccomend

p.s. mods im planning are headers, pulley set, k&n intake, lunati cam (ammperformance, only lunati for 3.4), 1.6:1 roller rockers, ported heads and plenum, lt1 throttle body.

To much clutch and you will trash the trans or rear on your car.
Most likely the trans I dont think the trans on out cars is real strong.
Just ask the DSM turners they know a lot about replacing transmissoins.
How ported will the heads be?
What ate the #'s on that cam?
What springs will you use?
Tell what the cam #'s are and I can tell you what I think it might get you.
An after market cam (any one worth buying) and 1.6 rockers all ways means your stock springs will have to go.

I would think that if you get less than 200 hp some thing would be very wrong.
I think YOu could get as much as 240 on the ground at most (with those 1.6 rockers helping), I'm saying no more than 240.
I think you might want to get a 2.8/3.1 intake for that cam.
With my 3.4 and crane cam (216*/228*) I think I can get 220 at most no lest than 190.

The problem is that turbo cams and N/A cams are very different. You would want a completely different setup for a turbo, so if you're going to cam i'd cam with the turbo project.

yes i understand the difference, but i want a fast n/a car right now, the turbo is a ways away, but even if i get an na cam and turbo later that will produce more power than just leaving the factory and turboing, so i just need an oopinion on a cam with the biggest n/a gains

If you want a cam I think the lutani 228*/228* is just plain wrong for a turbo cam.
If I rember right it had 8 degrees of over lap.
I have the crane 272 cam.
216*/228* @.05''
.454''/.480'' of lift
LSA is 112
It has 1 degree of over lap.
It should make a good mid range power turbo cam, not a good choice for top hp and high rpm's.
Any way it would be a huge improvement over the stock cam n/a or turbo.
