what cam for my 2.8l?

so its gonna take a long time to pay for and built my 350 and trans for my 88 camaro, but i'd like to have something a little step up from what ive got now before i build that engine. so my question is, what cam could i drop into my 2.8l to give it as aggressive performance as possible?

Comp, Crane and Lunati all have shelf cams that are decent, but for real power from that engine, you will wanna get the heads ported and polished and then get a custom grind cam that is based on the P&P flow numbers.

If you need some specific help, drop me a line and we can discuss it further.

Go with the Crane Cams 272 cam. It will work with the stock computer and have a slight lope to it.

Not sure if it will pass emissions but there are ways around that which are fairly simple.

You will need to upgrade your spring while you are at it. Its gonna be a full valvetrain upgrade by doing this. Most likely since the heads will have to come off, I would find a cheap set to rebuild and do some porting or at least some cleaning up on. then just swap the heads with the new springs on.

heads cam swap baby. about 20-30 horse or so pending how far you go with the heads
