Becuase the tree spede is .500,therfore,anything less than that is redlighting

I am with Kevin on the reaction time...partly...I know without a doubt all pro trees are .400 - Anything less on them is a red light...If you don't believe me, just watch the NHRA guys go at it. If they all hit between .400's and .500's consistently and are getting paid for it, and that is slow, a lot of people would be in for a job as John Force...however, different lights do have different times, and few actaully have .000 as a perfect time that I have seen, either way, below the perfect time is a red light. Sorry to rave about this on your post Ryan, and good luck, I'm pulling for you and your Camaro!

Some pro trees are .400, some .500.

Full trees can be .000 or .500.

Who knows what else is out there.

Nice to see you still trolling the V6 boards!I think his 3.4 will take the Cougar.Don't forget that the 3.4 has 200lb-ft of torque and that's what gets the car moving. The Cougar has what,120?Anyway,the 3.4 can easily be driven to 15's with intake and exhaust and that's about where the Cougar should be.So I think it'll be a good one.Lest us know how the race goes.

Thank you for your opinion , and So far im just putting moroso CAI , RKSport headers(not pacesetters because they take too long to manufacture) ,Borla exhaust , 160 thermostat. Im not getting an intake manifold because they dont make one for the 3.4L so im just gonna wait. Ok and my car is an auto so I dont really know if it will cruise right into the 15's that quick . Plus my car has 97k miles on it. thanks

Question

One of my friends is getting a 2000 Cougar V6, I have a 3.8 1997 Camaro Convertible with a flowmaster exhaust. Will I be able to beat him in a street race (probably not over 80 mph) Who will be faster at the start of the race?

You will have a better chance then I do , so I will bet you will beat your friend in the 1/4 . And Im betting you will beat him over 80 mph too.

How is robvas trolling? Anyway, the V6 Cougars have 165tq or something like that.

I suggest you weld some thicker flages on those 3.4 RKSport headers, lot of people who didn't experienced leaks due to flange warping.

And really man, get those mods on a race this dude! I'm tired of waiting for the outcome!

Hehe, and you've been around how long?He used to post in here all the time about how 3.4 and V6's in general suck and shouldn't be put in Camaros.

Better yet, take it to the track, that way we can blame it on driver when one of you loses.

Yet I still agree with him on some things
