He's lighter.

He has more power than you. (175 vs. 160)

He should win.

........BUT can he drive????? Thats the question!

I don't know... he's got advantages...
being lighter, newer, and if he's got a stick you are screwed...

but let us know how it goes...

Im 98% sure that he has an automatic. I will let you know what happens. And im actually kinda confident now because im an expert on launching my car. Im guessing if I beat him off the line pretty good he will have to play catch up, that would be tough I would guess.

they are not 3.8s. i beleive they are 2.8L with a v-tech like system call a....cant remember. it he has an auto, hes going to be slow off the line......very slow. my firend has a 99 cougar with borla exhuast, headers and intake, and i can still take hime for the first 100ft, then he starts to get beside me again, they pull very hard at 4500rpms, and thats just when the 3.4L falls on its face. i would say if your running the fill 1/4 mile he will win....if your street racing you will take him beucase of your launch.

Cool

You should take all the extra crap out of your car so it is lighter! EVERY LITTLE THING!!!!! Please If you have your A/C on turn it off for more power!! And your Radio. And if it;s not dark out when you race make sure your head lights/parking lights/fog lights are off. Remeber take all the extra weight out of your car!!!!!!!!

GOOD NEWS!!
Tommorrow im getting Borla exhaust , Pacesetter headers , 160 degree thermostat, and cold air induction. Should I be able to beat him then?? Oh, and as for my launch...im sure alot of people here know how to launch there auto like I do or maybe better , but I like my way . I give it half throttle till like 15 - 20 MPH with out spinning the tires and then floor it . Ive only been beaten outta the whole once but we were even until about 30-35 mph im guessing ,and that was by a Z28 automatic camaro. I Race lots of imports .
