I'm liking the design of the 2.5 inch Magnaflow V6 cat back. It;s not that expensive and the design is right on. I would look into that. if you just want a muffler maybe try magnaflow again

Re: V6 muffler opinions

I'd go with a flowmaster. My buddy had a hooker on his Z and it didn't sound all that great. Personal preference i guess. Magnaflow's are cheap and sound not bad, but you get what you pay for in my opinion.

I bought the Borla because of the Tips, T304 Stainless steal/warrenty and because it was the only "kit" I could find for the V6 at the time

I think I payed around $400 or so for it total

Thumbs up Re: V6 muffler opinions

My son has a flowmaster 80 on his 98 Camaro 3800 stock pipes single in and dual out the sound is awesome. Be sure to paint it with high temp paint to help it last longer as they do not offer a stainless steel 80 series

I like the magnaflow cat-back. combined with headers, the sound is great. cant vouch for tone of cat-back alone, everything went on at the same time. price is only slightly higher than flowmaster and you get a full stainless steel system.

Re: V6 muffler opinions

What is your price range? Cuz that is ur best bet on finding one to your liking. Everyone here is going to tell you to get this or get that. But what might sound good to them might not sound good to you. I like the way mine sounds, I can't say it's THE BEST since I haven't heard every single exhaust out there, but mine is pricey. so....
