Mines always pretty high. Full 80 when I'm driving, 70-75 or so when I'm idle.

That's much higer than mine. Mine is maybe 60 on start-up, 40 when driving and 30 at idle.

Re: Typical oil pressure 3.4

in my old 3.4 my oil pressure started dropping a little and I thought something was wrong with the motor, and it ended up being the sending unit. So if your oil pressure dropped a little out of nowhere it may very well be that.

Re: Typical oil pressure 3.4

I've posted this before, but mine has been idling at about 2psi when it gets hot using M1 10-30, for about 3.5-4 years now. Not that I really care much anymore as the LT1 is coming along, but hey, no serious mechanical problems with it for that amount of time.

Re: Typical oil pressure 3.4

I'm not sure, but I don't think it should be quite as low as some people have said. You might want to check your oil sensor, it might be broken and not know how much you need/how much is going in, and causing low performance.
