I have been told that a 160 degree thermostat would help the performance of my engine. I have a 1999 camaro 3.8l, i have searched for 160 thermostats but can only find them for the ls1's are they the same part number, will the one for an ls1 fit a 3800? Will this helps performance wise at all? The only mod i have is a cold air intake with a borla catback on the way and also a jet stage two computer chip.

 

Look for 3800 thermos through jegs or summit. I know they have them.
