stupid misfire

hello everyone.

after about 4 hours or so of talking to autozone employees, fiddling with coil packs, wires, plugs, and googling every combination of words i can think of, ive decided to ask some people who know what they are talking about.

my 94 3.4l firebird has a misfire. it seems to be only one cylinder because it is pretty constant and rhythmic. ive changed the plugs and wires with duralast plugs and wires (copper plugs). the problem didnt go away. ive made sure that no wires are touching and that a spark isnt arcing. still doesnt work. i bought a new coil pack and replaced it with each of the coil packs seperately and cranked it, still had a misfire. from what i could tell, the plugs ceramic isnt cracked, and they are in good shape. ive rechecked the firing order over and over and it is correct.

the previous owner hadnt driven the car regularly for a period of time, she got herself a new firebird. i was hoping that it was just bad gas, but the car actually ran out of gas on the highway and i filled it up with premium.

i started it up this morning and it worked beautifully and i was happy, then out of nowhere it started misfiring again, im guessing because something got too hot.

thanks for the replies ahead of time. i just hope i can figure this out.... im a big stickler for power.

are you sure its a misfire you said you might have had bad gas and ran it till the tank was empty maybe you have a clogged fuel injector.

misfire

what kind of spark plugs did you put in? go ahead and put some AC Delco plugs in and it should work fine. don't buy what autozone or kragren is trying to sell you. just ask for ac delco. if not, go to the dealship for the plugs.
