Hey guys i just have the stock exhaust of my 3.8L Camaro right now, and it sounds realy bad. I was wondering if its just my car or if all 3.8L's sound like that. Do you have or know of any sound clips that i could hear another one to compare to mine?

 

the exhaust on my 00 firebird sounded pretty throaty stock, but i had dual exhaust so that makes a lil difference in sound. if ur gonna go wit any aftermarket exhaust i would go wit borla if u got the loot, but i got a poormans borla,-flowmaster 80 series with the borla tips lol no one can tell its not borla

 

When mine was stock I couldnt hear the exhaust, this car was super quiet.
Adding the Lid gave it a deeper throaty sound, When I changed out to a Borla it was undeniably loud!

 

Your stock exhaust is probably just falling apart/needs to be replaced. When I had my stock exhaust, it was ultra quiet.

Only time I ever noticed it was after I added the SLP CAI and when it was cold.

 

how many miles do you have on your car??

i have a used muffler from a 3.4, interested email me. comes with mufler and exit pipe. single in , single out, you know, factory!
