Still getting bad milage

I got a whopping 180 miles (about 13 mpg) out of my last tank of gas, this bad gas milage is really starting to annoy me. It's all stop and go "city" driving but I still think it should be better than that. I've also tried to baby it and not go WOT but that didn't change anything either. I have done the following things within the last 3000 miles:

changed 02's
changed Plugs/wires
changed fuel filter

I havent seen any improvements. I'm beginning to think it might be the catalitic converter. Would a bad/clogged cat cause low gas milage? I don't want to waste more money trying to figure this out but I think this is the only thing left. I know it will be kind of expensive with the cost of the cat and labor, but does anyone know what a shop will charge to do this?

Thanks.

Wow...even after the plugs and wires you still get such bad mileage. How about the air filter, tire pressure, PCV valve? Those three are really inexpensive, though if you did those other three you probably covered those.

You can take your cat to an exhaust shop and they can find out if your cat is bad. Shouldn't cost more than $50.

City/Stop & Go simply KILLS your mileage. I do 95% highway and usually get AT LEAST 300 miles out of 3/4 of a tank ( I don't let it get below 1/4).
However, when I worked one week at a different branch in the city, I got only around 250.

Good luck, keep us posted.

Could be EGR related, i've done everything you have and more, and i only get a little better mileage than you. I don't want to change the EGR without being sure though, they are expensive.
