Some general questions
Some general questions
I have a few questions about radiators and air intakes in general.
I have heard that air intakes give you more gas mileage along with the HP boost. Im just making sure, cause I could use a mileage boost, but I dont want to spend money on something right now unless it's helpful (delivering pizzas)
I have to get a radiator for my delivery car and I was wondering what the best radiator is to get for the $$. Should I go with a simple replacement? get an all metal, or go for a performance radiator of some sort such as all alluminum?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Re: Some general questions
Intake is one of the better mods and should be THE required first mod.
Ouch...using your Camaro as a pizza delivery car? Thats gotta take its toll on her...the short trips.
Replacement radiators shouldn't be too pricey. I would see about finding a used on from a junkyard or just a stock one. Since you're still stock, you won't notice the difference anyways.

Re: Some general questions
do a magnaflow or flows, i like the 3.4 sound with flows the 80 series, the gains really help each other out
then another cheap on is the underdrive pully kit
and the ol tb bypass!! lol

Re: Some general questions
I hope you aren't delivering the pizzas in your own car. I manage a restraunt that does about half of our business from deliveries, and I see what the cars go through. We do have our own delivery cars so the drivers don't drive their own, but I've seen many brand new cars turn to **** in about 2 months.
Re: Some general questions
I actually need the rad for a honda I bought to deliver in, for the purpose of keeping the camaro nice
I used one tank in the honda and the radiator cracked. so I cant deliver in it until I get that fixed and check up the cooling fan. A buddy I work with knows how to put one in (itll be my first
) so the only real costs for me is the rad itself and the coolant.
The intake would be for the honda mostly to boost the already high MPG it gets (its a CRX HF btw) and it would make a nice sound on the camaro.

Re: Some general questions
Forgive me deadmeat but whats a tb bypass? I know taco bell would pass right through, but im guessing thats not what yorue talking about
ACE: Yeah we do get to deliver in our own cars, thats why I had to buy the honda, Ive put 10k on the camaro since feb and she gets tempermental (harder to shift gears) the more shes driven in a day.
