98 3.8L....suggestions
98 3.8L....suggestions
basically I just bought a 98 Camaro 3.8L yesterday, Ill know monday or tuesday if its 100% mine but its looking good.
its in excellent condition, the previous owner babied it. i cant beleive how awesome the condition of this car is. its $6900.....my dad knows everyone at the dealership real well and once he found out who had the car last he couldnt ask them to come down, because he knows him and I guess the guy takes real good care of his vehicles.
its got t-tops,ac,at,loaded....white 98 3.8l camaro. $6900, i think its a good price, no?
ill post pics this week if I get it but what are some performance mods I can put on this 3.8l and for how much. once I put $800 down on it I'll only have a couple hundred left. input would be much appreciated, thanks.

Re: 98 3.8L....suggestions
Sounds like a good deal. I paid $6k for my 95 3.4L 3 years ago when it had 82k miles on it. Fewer miles, newer car, better (dont flame me, just my opinion!) engine. Go for it.
Re: 98 3.8L....suggestions
If it's not to late.....I think you should talk em down alittle more. I paid $6200 for my loaded Blue 98 Camy with 52000 miles on it. Demographics could have something to do with it to. I'm in NY.

...well...don't count on it
... but nice man, I'd say you got a pretty good deal, I paid 7K for my last 98 and it didn't have T-Tops and had 80K on the clock. Get some pictures for us...
When you mod let me know how it goes...

Re: 98 3.8L....suggestions
Congrats to both of you.
Well I paid $6200 but thinking about it I'm not that lucky... I did need new brake pads all around, front rotors, and a complete fluid change. The price was probably right on the nose as far as fairness goes.
Did you guys check bluebook and Carfax before buying?
