Slow Window Motors

Help!!!

I am having problems with both of my window motors. There are both going up and down real slow. There are not even close to full speed. I was having this problem and I replaced both window motors but it hasn't seemed to help. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?

are you trying to use them both at the same time? I know my buddys contour does that if he tries to roll both down at the same time. You might also want to check and make sure there is enought current/voltage going to the motors. Were the motors used? They could also be crapped out as well. hope this helps...

If you have tinted side windows, you may have some adhesive on the inside of the tint, or on the rubber seal on the inside. You can check this by spraying a little silicone spray on the inside of the window and the seal, and see if they go a lot faster.

Mine are slow as hell too.

Going down the passenger one wins the race.

Going up the drives one wins.

I normally try to do one at a time, and if the engine isnt running and the car is just on accessory, neither will work their isnt enough power.

Also, forget about cold days, they just dont work.

If you find a solution, let me know.

I know there might be a cheaper way. My windows did the exact same thing and I lived with them that way until one of them totally stopped. I have get out of the car to get drive through orders! Anyway I had to replace bothe my motors in order for them to properly work again. The whole operation cost $700. I hope you guys might be able to find a cheaper solution, but most likely is the motors. They tend to go out in f-bodies. Mine is a 95.

i work on a car door assembly line. take the inner door liner off so the motor regulator and sashbar rubber is exposed. get some white grease and some heavy grease. grease the visable gears rivets sliders and anything metal that moves. now get some dish soap and just pour it into the rubber parts that the glass touches. get a paper towel and wipe off the dirt. then lube the clean sashbar rubbers up with more dish soap. try this and if it doesnt work then theres somthing else wrong like a binding glas in the rubber, a mis aligned glass, or a poor connection to the motor.
