Question Secret on "pinning" the speedometer?

On this page, he has a link that tells "how to pin the speedometer on a 3.4" Unfortunately, th link doesn't work. I was just curious as to whether or not anyone had any info on this...

i dont know if there is a real secret to it. My car stock im able to pin it on the speedo. I posted a forum about the top speeds a few months ago and it seems some of our cars are able to go past the supposed govner while others limit at 110 or 115. Ive clocked mine a little over 120 with my mods, nothing to the computer though.

Well if it helps any... I was clocked at doing 121 in a 35 zone last April in my car. Only mod's being cai/exhaust/tb bypass/t-stat/plugs-wires. Took a little ways to get it up there but I did it The cops didn't seem to enjoy it too much though. Hell, I was on a deserted 4 lane highway at 2 in the morn. Guess I picked the wrong night to try it out.

I heard that 6 cyl had a speed limiter that kicked in at 112 mph. Then one night coming back from a party on a straight strip of highway i was shocked when i raced a 01 grand prix and it apparently had a limiter at 115 mph and my car didn't quit. So i believe this part does not exist on my car.

Stock speed limiter is 118.
How to do it?
Remove speed limiter and floor it.
Hit the juice and you get there much quicker

Proud to say that I know first hand that the V6 speed limiter kicks in at 118mph now I need to find out where the SS speed limiter kicks in From my understanding you can't take out the speed limiter, you have to buy a computer chip that overides the limiter.

my limiter is at 110-111. from what i've read you can put a switch on the purple wire coming from the tranny for the speedo. the speedo won't work, but no limiter I'll post if it works tomorrow, just made an ashtray switch panel and have an extra switch
