whats up... my buddy has a s10 extreme, 4.3l auto... i have a 3.8l 5spd 2000 camaro... who would win? anybody know anything about these trucks?

My bro has a 2000 xtreme too, I raced him with my 3.8L 5spd bird, I was stock at the time, we were just at a light in town at like 3am, so I stopped at like 45mph

but I easily got him off the line, i was ahed of him at 45, then slowed down

you should smoke him, especially if he's stock and you have any mods

 

What about a 3.4? Who would win then?

 

Well , it would be a good race but alot of people on this board say the extreme would beat the 3.4. But I have to disagree with them , I think the 3.4 would win if you got a good enough launch on the extreme , but then again if you are really not sure then just get headers , exhaust , and CAI , and you will blow the extreme away!!

i know for a fact that a 3.4 can be one. this guy i know has one, out of 5 stoplight races he won none.... not one. those trucks cant luanch worth anything.

I dont think a 3.4 would beat it, I've driven my bro's extreme, is mashes pretty fast... they have a 4.3L v6 in them, not sure how much HP

 

Most S10 Xtremes are mid 16's and slower. They do not run as well as a base S10 4.3L. My 96 ran 15.90@85MPH stock and it could launch decent.
