did you just put a straight pipe in place of the cat? and it doesnt sound good?

I put on a gutted third gen cat and modified the fittings to that it would slide on in place of my stock cat. Acts like a resonator, I think it sounds great.

I have a 3400 in my car and I just use a a single 2-1/4" universal catco catalytic converter ($65 new) and a cherry bomb. Cheep, but much better sounding and lighter than my old setup with the flowmaster and a cat. It dumps before the rear driver's side tire.
