Rear hatch doesnt unhook all the way

When I press the button for the rear hatch to pop up it goes, but not enough to open it. You have to press the button several times, then it works. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

I actually have an identical problem, though I thought it was just a normal thing.

Same thing on my LS1. I think it is because the hatch is so damn heavy.

Keyless hatch. Bring the key fob with you when you're opening the trunk.

But seriously, is there something?

InstallUniversity.com has two different fixes for it. The links to the directions are about 3/4 of the way down on the "Install Documents" page.

i did both of them today...the first one where you turn the little rubber stopper thingys..that solved it..than i did the 2nd one, where you put the other spring on the latch mechanism, and now it actually pops up when i push the button..not completely open..but like an inch or 2...cool! give them a try and it should solve it! i'm so excited..lol
