Problems w/ M5

Lately I started playing around with the ol 6 a little more
Well after a night of playing in the rain and snow, I noticed the my clutch is starting to smell pretty bad. Sometimes its really hard to put in first and may grind a lot. Never had this problem before. It also grinds a lot more going into R (I usually throw it into 4th then reverse so it won't grind; has worked all that well lately).

Are the synchros going bad or is the clutch "sticking" or something?

I hope to get rid of her before any real issues come up with the drive-train

3.4 BTW

A few things that might be wrong.
If it's not the syncros then it could be a bad slave cylinder.
If it came on reay sudden then it could be a slave cylinder.
And there might not be much left of the clutch.
Do you have any problem getting it into gear and out of gear besides grinding?

No problems getting it out of gear. Sometime it won't go in gear, but it won't grind either. It was pretty much suddenly. What made it worse was a couple high speed runs I did.

I also noticed when I slow down to a stop it will grind now going into 1st, but when I'm completely stopped it will go in fine. So syncros maybe

Your just going to have to take it some where to have it droped out, looked at and fixed.
What have you been doing to your transmissions?
My 85' V6 is a 5 speed, and I never had any problems with it.
I abused it every way I could think of, I did every thing to it all the time.
Roll backs.
Staging.
Dough nuts.
Burn outs through 1st, part of 2nd and a squeek from 3rd.
180' E-break slides.
I wore out 1 clutch.
All done on 100% dry, hot summer roads.
I guess they don't make them like they use to.

i had those exact same symptoms when i had a saturn....took it to the shop.....they just tightened a few bolts, can't remember what on....."clutch linkage" sounds familiar....but it was just hard as hell to get into gear, and would grind sometimes.....just a thought....

It seems to be getting better each time I drive it, but there comes a problem with it at times.
I've been driving standards ever since I've had my license, so I'm not doing anything dumb.

oil pan 4:
All I've been doing is some donuts here and there, high-speed runs, and small burnouts. Otherwise I'm not hard on it.

I have a bad habit of testing things to failure then, I go "D'OH"!
All the 2.8's I killed, the 5-speed caviler transmission and other stuff. I can tell you what is tuff, SBC's, chevy 2.2L's, older T-5's, ford 5.0L's to bad there transmissins suck.
