Can you take the exhaust from a 1995 Z28 and put it on a 1995 V6? I figured it would be compatible? And also, what kind of muffler is on the Z28? I am wanting to put the dual exhaust from the Z28 on my V6 camaro. Thanks to anyone who helps.

 

I'm pretty sure the "hangers" (or whatever they're called) are different on the V6 and V8 models... you'd have to re-weld them onto the exhaust in different locations.. right?

 

I doubt they would change the hanger locations just because it is a V6. Also, Z28's do not have true dual exhaust, but only dual outlet.

 

Bolt right in. The exhaust for all 1995 model year engines runs right through the same spot under the car.

I'm putting a Z28 take off (factory flowmaster) on my 3.4L car whenever I get around to it. Cut off v6 muffler and get v8 version welded on as the pipe from behind the exhaust manis is the same just about. Simple as that, pretty much.

Just looks, really. That's all I wanted.

 

the hangers will match up and everythin will fit right...all u have to do it get a S-pipe that goes from the CAT to the I-pipe...any muffler shop should b able to do this
