Cool new to the board

Just thought I'd drop a line to say hello and all that stuff. I'm currently in the process of performing a LS1 swap in my 99' Converteble. If you're interested in seeing pictures of my car I included a link below. I'm sure I'll be asking A LOT of questions in the near future, so hello all and talk to you all later.

Nice car, don't really like the altezza's but they don't look too awful on yours. Not a big fan of convertibles either. The wheels are alright, but they look better on older Camaros.

I do like your billit grill and Porsche

Get some lowering springs for that Maro too

I'm probably doing I swap too this winter, except LT1, since I have a '94.

Question

Can you list some of the "too many performance mods to list" to get the 14.3@101.2, please?

Talking

NINO!!! So glad to hear from you. I really liked the sarcasim in the replies about not enough room to list my mods....I can take a joke. That really sucks about your head gasket. Hopefully, that's the problem then you can beat my time. Did you see in my post that I'm doing the LS1 swap? I end up buying the wife an SS and I NEVER get to drive it. I love the power and I want it in my car. I'm having some problems with California DMV right now. They want me to do a "one time" smog inspection after the install and if I pass, I get a cert that I show everytime I get a smog. If I fail, I'm classified as a gross polluter. NO GOOD!! I'll keep you updated and send some pictures your way. Good to hear from you again.

As for everyone else.... if you really want a list of all my mods....seriously....I'll list them. You can actually see most of them on my attachment to Cardomain.com, but I can get into further detail later. I don't have time right now. Later...

I am sure Chris and Jason won't mind.

According to Cardomain he has Comp Cam, Flowmaster, MSD, K&N, Jet Chip, BMR STB and "port and polish". That is getting him to 14.3@101.2 w/1.89 60ft? Damn!!!

Cant say I am going to flame it, that is a gorgious car, I love those wheels, this is the first time I have seen them on a 4th gen Camaro.
Only one question, is it a 5 Speed? Are you going to add a 6 Speed with the LS1?

Thanks for being easy on me. Actually, yes it is a 5 speed and yes I'm installing a 6 speed with the LS1. Apparently the V-6 tranny can't take the power of the LS1, so I don't have a choice. I remember reading that the only trannys, besides the T56, that can take the "beating" of LS1 torque are the 4L60E and 4L80E from newer V-8 trucks. Weird huh? As for the rims...I had to wait for 6 months while they were on back order. I guess everyone wants those rims for their cars lately. I really like the "older" muscle car look they give it though so it was worth the wait.
