Not gonna call BS yet...

What are the specs on your cam? Who did the heads, and what stage? What was your weight with that run?

That's a VERY high MPH. You must have been on slicks, skinnies, and weighed about 2800 lbs.

Just looked back over and saw you have rockers also.....are they the INTENSE 1.9:1 rocker arms?

Again just get back to me on what I've asked. Great times though.

scott, scott, scott. why so pessimistic? or is it nobody wants to believe him cause he is not on the fbv6/cv6 timeslip page.
you know i have a goal with my car, and it is not necissarily to beat him, but the time i want, would beat him. i think i am close to getting it. will people doubt my times if they dont happen to see it for themself. thats why when i go to hrp i want ALL of SICK SIXX there to be my witnesses. just incase i do reach my goal.

Not being pessimistic at all. It's just a really high MPH, but I also know that other M5 drivers trap very high. For example, Bene ran a 14.7 at 95.5mph with minor mods.

Nino I don't know what your deal is with me, but all I've done is try to help you and you blow me off. You see my suggestions as "whoring through your posts" when I happen to know ALOT more than you do in general about how our cars work. If you feel you are good enough to email me back for once then we can talk more there. But all I know is that ever since I got my converter you've been too good to talk to me. Peace.

Yeah, I was wondering about your specs too? Cam specs, who did your heads and what rockers do you have? Did you do any weight reduction? What rims/tires are you running at the track?

If those times are legit, then congrats as they are very impressive.

Welcome to the board!

The official V6 f-body timeslips page is located here:
http://timeslips.firebirdv6.com

I would very much like for you to submit your timeslip to me using this page:
http://timeslips.firebirdv6.com/submit.html
That is if you would like to be on our page. I'd wish more of the faster, more quiet, members would speak up and submit their slips. The faster #'s we have on that page, the better we look overall.

Also, while your at it check out the messageboard over there too!

I sent my times to the website you provided...

The tires I used were drag radials on stock rims...

My heads were port and polished by a friend in Temuscian, CA who owns a machine shop. He did all the work for me and my roller rockers are Crane, which my friend machined to fit. I think they were 1.6 and since they were actually made for a V-8 he had to do something to them to make them work. I'm not that advanced when it comes to exact tolerances and how things work. That's where he came in. As for the cam, I'll have to get the paper that came with it to know for sure. I don't know off the top of my head. It's lying around here somewhere and as soon as I find it, I'll post the numbers. I can tell you that when it's idling, it lopes pretty good. My SES light came on as soon as I had it installed, but when I had my chip programmed it went out.
I hope this answers your questions. If you have more, just ask.

I really had no idea that I would be getting picked apart this much just by joining a message board. Why is that? I came here mainly to get advice and information on doing my LS1 swap. I'm actually putting the used 3.8 up for sale after the swap so if anyone is interested let me know. Then you can find out for yourself what it's capable of. All I can say is that I got lucky with a good run. I actually ran 5 times that day and 14.3 was the best. My other times really sucked because I got cocky. My first run was a 15.1 second was the 14.3 third was 14.6 forth was 14.5 and my last run was 14.8. I'm guessing that by the way everyone is talking that these times are pretty uncommon?? I'm not trying to pull a fast one or claim that my dad can beat up your dad...nothing like that. I'm too old to participate in things like that anymore. I'm just another one of the guys playing with his car instead of spending "quality" time with the wife. (she actually likes helping me work on the car, can you say "bonus")
Everyone take it easy and talk to you later.

Got your PM nino, check yours too.

Well just find me the specs on the cam I would love to see what they are. Do you have a dyno graph, perhaps of before and after the heads/cam work? Thanks!

I can't seem to find the paper with the specs on my cam, but as soon as I do I'll post them for you all to see. I'm really sorry, but the wife has been cleaning around and I can't find anything. As for the dyno. No, I've never had my car dyno'ed. I'm very interested in seeing what it's actually putting out. I'm guessing it should be around 240 or so. How do you actually tell though, I'm just guessing. Could be more could be less. I'm really not doing much more to it since I'm doing the swap. I'm just now getting all the parts needed in order to start. I should be getting my new radiator next week. This project is adding up VERY quickly. I'll take pictures as I'm doing it in case anyone is interested.

I'll also keep looking for the specs on the cam for you. In the mean time.........

Can you scan in some of your timeslips?

ANy more luck with the timeslip submission? If it fails just submit it to me directly, magnus_dx@hotmail.com.

I'm very curious to know how you think you achieved such an impressive MPH. Any ideas on that?

No offense to you man, but unlike some newer members I'd like to see some proof and how you arrived to your current times. Some timeslip pages take good times just to have good times. Quantity over quality I guess.

You can't just pop in with an awesome time and expect everyone to just believe it right off the bat. Where were you when you had a stock car or just intake/exhaust? Did you just all of a sudden get all those mods and then decide to visit the net?

It's common practice to require proof for those that aren't well known. Don't feel bad man.
