Mod list, from japan
I have a rebuilt 3.4L in my 85 camaro, so far I have 3.8L injectors and a crane cam;
intake/exhaust
216*/228* duration @ .05
.454''/.480'' lift with 1.5 rockers
Also exhaust manifolds I ported out about 2yr ago.
^those are on the car now.
Over here in japan I'm working on some stuff.
I kept the cast iron 2.8L heads off my last engine so far I have..
polished up the chambers no big changes other than I unshrouded the valves (more room around the sides of the valves to the head)
I ported the intake ports kinda mildly, a port match and smothing job nothing to big.
I blocked off the EGR passage in one head and will do the other one soon.
I have ported out the exhaust ports a little but plan to do a lot more, they are realy restrictive in there stock form.
I took the old valves and polished the under sides to the point where they look like a mirror. The tops of the intakes are just as smooth, I left the tops of the exhaust valves kinda rough.
All I used to do the valves was my little table top drill press and sand paper #60 all the way down to #1300 grits.
I have stronger stock size valve springs (kmotion K-700's) machined aluminum retainers and crane +.05 forged steel locks.
Also did a P&P and port matched my 95 3.4L intake manifold to the heads, it WAS kind of restrictive, also taped the rear of the manifold for extra coolant hook ups.
2.8L Lower plenum, I port matched it to the manifold and am now polishing/grinding the casting surface out of the metal.
Plentum spacers, I made a set of 3/8'' upper to lower plastic spacers and plan on making 2 more.
Still haven't touched the upper plentum yet, but want to retro fit a LS1 TB to the upper, that will be much later on.
The fuel rail got some too, I drilled the inlet of the rail and the fuel rail head with a 1/2'' bit (was about 5/16'', more fuel!) Also added a BBK ajustable fuel pressure reg and added a 4AN tap where the sharder valve use to be.
I will get some crane 1.6 roller rockers before I put this stuff on should be good for .480'' lift on the intake and .511'' exhaust.

What do you think all that could get me for Hp?
I get kinda bord over here.

man i dont know but i cant wait.
you say your coming back for spring/summer to put the car on the road right?
going to run a cat?
ive seen some supertrapp mufflers on corvettes, im not sure if they would offer any performance for us lil 6ers but worth looking into as they are cheap

I have lots of pictures of my progress on my hard drive from when I first pulled the heads, when my other intake parts showed up and what I did to my fuel rail. Up untill a few days ago.
I will have to run a cat because I have to get it inspected unless I can find some one to give me a sticker and it might be to loud with out one anyway.
I found a new way (and a new dremal bit) to polish cast iron they(the chambers) look all most like they were chrome plated, my polishing job on the heads might be a little over kill.
It looks like I cut about 2cc at most out of the chambers unless I mill the heads I'll be running about a 8.8:1 to 8.9:1 C/R.
I won't know for sure untill I cc them.
