I have a 1999 V6. When I arm the system the horn honks twice but then after about 5-10 seconds the horn starts honking like I hit the panic button and wont stop until I hit the unlock button. Any ideas other than taking it to the dealer?? I tried reprogramming the remote but that doesnt work.

 

Is your shock sensor connected? If so, try unpluging that and see if the problem stops.

 

the alarm in my car isnt factory but sometimes the connection to the hood button gets wet causing the alarm to think the hood was opened
check your door buttons on the body jamb?
