I think my cam is to big.
I got out my old heads and started messing with them and this is what I found out.
The seat hight, the best I could measure it 1.625''
The crush hight is about 1.150''
Total from seat to crush is .475''
That leaves me about .465'' - .470'' for cam movement
My cam exhaust lift is .480'' and that is my problem.
Also cam to big means bent pussh rods.
The heads and springs I measured were old 2.8 heads and the engine goining my car is a 95 3.4 engine the cam is a 272 grind.
Are the heads different from 85' to 95' as far as far as how much lift they can take?
And what is the bigest cam any one has put in a stock 3.4?
Or maybe I should leave the stock cam in there and put 1.6 rockers.

You cannot use stock springs and retainers with that cam!
Use the springs and retainers suggested by Crane for that camshaft. The retainers are offset from stock retainers and provide additional installed height that will allow the right springs to work.
